The Journal of Science and Engineering Papers (JOSEP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal for describing scientifically valuable data, and research that advances the sharing and reuse of scientific data. It was launched by 5 teachers of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Rajshahi. JOSEP enables the discoverability, reproducibility, and reuse of important scientific information. It is a type of publication that combines the narrative content characteristics of traditional journal articles with links to external sources that connect our papers to publicly available sources.
JOSEP is open to submission journal from all areas of pharmaceutical chemistry, chemical sciences and engineering, corrosion science and engineering, environmental sciences, and extractive metallurgy. JOSEP considers manuscripts describing experimental, reviews, and short communications.
All article types are peer reviewed. JOSEP has an editorial board of experts recruited from research institutions worldwide. Our editorial board members coordinate the review process for all manuscripts and identify referees to evaluate the technical quality of the procedures used to generate the data and the completeness of the data description in alignment with existing community standards.

JOSEP is open access: to publish with us, all authors are required to pay an article-processing charge (APC).
Publishing scientific articles involves costs at every stage, from peer-review to publication and hosting on dedicated servers. To cover these expenses, authors are required to pay an article-processing charge (APC) instead of the subscription fees charged by many journals. This fee allows authors to post the final, published PDF of their Data Descriptor on a website, institutional repository, or another free public server, immediately upon publication.
JOSEP offers APC waivers for papers whose corresponding authors are based in the world’s lowest income countries as defined by the World Bank. Discretionary APC waivers will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be granted in cases of financial need.
The appropriate tense to use is determined by the context. When reporting past events, use the past tense, including actions, reports, or experimental results. Use the present tense when expressing general truths, such as conclusions or atemporal facts, such as the content of a paper. Use the future tense when discussing future perspectives or plans. In most cases, the majority of your sentences should be written in the past tense, while the present tense should be used sparingly and the future tense used very rarely, if at all. You should also include a relevant disclosure statement with the text of your article. You can do this in conjunction with any acknowledgements and details of funders.
